Writing Exam 2nd Partial

A.

Does your happiness depend on other people?

For me, happiness depends on both. You can make yourself happy, for example, doing things that you like, but you also need others to be completely happy, for example, friends and family.

B.

Does a person's happiness depend on other people or on oneself?

In my opinion happiness depends on both, from other people and from yourself. You can make yourself happy by doing things you like, but you also need others to share and to make you happy. For example people who spend time with friends and family are happier than people who don't. In addition people who share important moments of their life with others tend to be happier than those who don't. Furthermore friendly classmates or coworkers affect your own happiness, they help you reduce stress and also have a good time. I think we can make our-self's happy, but we also need from others to make us happy, only that way we can reach true happiness.

Researchers are concerned about the decline in bee colonies. Some blame hard winters. In a normal winter, the number of bees in a hive drops by more than 10 percent. However, in recent years, beekeepers have seen an annual fall of more than 30 percent in the number of bees in their hives. Some had losses of more than 50 percent, and some even lost almost 90 percent of their bees. Overall, the U.S. experienced a decline of more than 70% in its total bee population. However, this problem does not exist everywhere. In fact, globally, there has been an increase of over 45 percent in the number of hives, and honey production has also risen by over 100 percent in the last 50 years.

1. One of the happiest moment in my life was having dinner in Italy with my husband. We were on a little island on a lake, and we were eating outside at a restaurant. And there were these musicians who were playing music. The moment when we were watching the sunset was so romantic. I can't remember feeling happier.

2. I think the happiest day in my life was the day I was celebrating my 18th birthday playing volleyball on the beach. There were some other guys there who where playing a game, too, and we played against them. They were really good, winning felt really great. We've all stayed friends and getting together always reminds me of that day.

3. My earliest happy memory was winning the school spelling bee. I was feeling so proud when i stood there. Everyone in the audience was standing up and clapping. And i was seeing my parent's faces, it was the best moment. I was standing on the stage for ages and didn't want it all to end.

Exercise B

                                                 Skin
Don't smoke. Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles. Smoking narrows the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin, which decreases blood flow. This depletes the skin of oxygen and nutrients that are important to skin health.

                                                Bones
Pay attention to vitamin D. Your body needs vitamin D to absorb calcium. Good sources of vitamin D include oily fish, such as tuna and sardines, egg yolks, and fortified milk. Sunlight also contributes to the body's production of vitamin D.

                                                Muscles
Protein. Muscles are mostly made up of proteins. It’s important to include protein in your diet to replenish what is lost during workouts. Proteins include meat, poultry, seafood, eggs, and milk products.

                                                Brain
Become a Social Butterfly. Staying close with friends and family and being involved in social activities and social situations can greatly contribute to a long life of strong cognitive health. Keeping your brain active through conversation can make an enormous difference as you age.

                                                Liver
Avoid alcohol. Even small quantities of alcohol if consumed regularly can burden your liver. The liver is responsible for detoxifying alcohol so having complete breaks regularly from alcoholic drinks helps your liver.

Writing Exam 1

Sometimes we don't spend enough time with our family, we think we don't need  them, or we simply think we can spend time later. A lesson to me was the importance of family. A few years later I always said I didn't need to spend so much time with my family and also that i didn't had time for them. At that time I was like  12 - 13 years old. Then when we last expected my mother got sick, and she needed to stay on the hospital, so I had to stay at home with only my brother. It was a unexpected experience, everything changed for both of us. After school we had to go home walking, cook for us something to eat, clean the house, and nobody to talk about our day. We lived like that for 2 month and half. After that experience i understand the importance of the family. I think is really important to spend time with them, even if it's only a little bit of time, maybe just to talk of our day. I think family we normally don't give them the time they need, but after that experience it changed me, and we have a better relation between all of us.
